Work with Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (20082015)

I worked as an expert/consultant on heritage and culture in Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH, now the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi). My work involved:

·     Supervising junior researchers, who conduct research on heritage topics,

·     Organizing research training seminars and workshops.

·     Organizing and participating in conferences on heritage related issues and topics.

·     Preparing nomination files of UAE’s elements of intangible cultural heritage that were submitted for inscription on the UNESCO list for safeguarding as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

·     Worked for two years (20082010) as heritage expert in the UNESCO Subsidiary Body for evaluating Intangible Cultural Heritage nomination.

·       Participated as a member of the UAE delegation in five UNESCO major meetings
